On Dec.7 2002,In Palm Desert Calif. Habitat
for Humanity and Ram Development set out to build a house in one day. The company I work for,
Ron Sawyer construction provided a framing crew and our construction forklift. Also A.J.Ambilli
const. and Page const. Provided framing crews
We started at 6:00 am, Framing the walls on the sidewalk while the cement crew from
Tidwell Concrete Co.worked on the
slab foundation. Whites Crane Service provided their BIG crane and when the slab was ready we
craned the walls into place. It was controlled chaos for awhile but we managed to keep the ball
rolling, And when I left at 10:00pm it was close to being done. The next morning at 9:00am
when I went back to move our forklift they had just a few little things to do to finish,
It's just amazing what people can do when we work together, Everybody that worked on the house
donated their time and skills along with several buisnesses that donated all the supplies to build
and all the food to feed the hundreds of workers.
